Customer Kitchen: Family Kitchen

The original kitchen was dark and old fashioned. The customer wanted a traditional style kitchen with a granite worktop. The customer also explained that they liked clutter and they were not looking for a minimalist design.

With this in mind Kate and Laura, In-toto Salisbury designed the kitchen with open shelves and glass dresser units. The customer had chosen a cranberry coloured range cooker, to complement this they chose the painted ivory doors with a Kashmir White granite which has sprinkles of colours that ties together the floor, the ivory kitchen doors and the cooker.

The small island with the curved doors is a feature in the kitchen giving the customer space to display their cookery books and a raised wooden work surface on which to prepare cocktails, which was considered very important to the customer. The overhang on the island enables the children to be able to sit in the kitchen and play/ do their homework. Drawers beneath the overhang give extra space to store their schoolwork.
